Journal entries for Europeans who has reached the Americas,

I've been drawn to the sea since I was a child. What those unending blue distances bring, what is it in the end, and what does the finished look like, I've always wondered. They told us that my mother, my father, is a friar from my region at the conclusion of the day. As the years passed, my love for the water became stronger, and I grew up to dedicate my life to it. I decided to become a sailor. I've spent years on deck, but I've always been curious about one; how does it end? And I made the decision to look around, to investigate. I wrote to my monarch, pleading for permission, gold coins, and people to accompany me on my journey. The longing for the unknown was stronger than I was, and one day I gained the king's approval as well as all of the necessary finances.

Finally travelled for a long time and had a terrible voyage, but we made it. We entered a new universe and discovered people who had their own set of rules and hierarchy. They were, however, exceedingly basic. Their land was abundant, yet they were unconcerned about it. They moved at a considerably slower pace than we Europeans. Because the language was foreign to us, my crew and I tried to communicate with them in any way we could. Many people were taken aback when they saw our horses; it turned out that this magnificent creature was unfamiliar to them. They fed us, and it was fantastic; I'd never had anything like it before, and potatoes have since been one of my favourite foods.

My greatest goal came realised when I was able to explore the ocean's royal reaches. I returned to Europe and informed my King of what I had witnessed. And I saw primitive tribes, wealth that might be put to good use, and people as a labour force. I informed the king of all that had happened. The word quickly traveled across the continent. However, we were the first to come, and we amassed the most wealth, enslaved the most people, and established a tremendous reputation in our own countries. It did not go over well with the locals. Other European countries eventually followed suit.
