Pasteur's experiment involving broth proved that microbes do not undergo spontaneous generation. In this experiment, Pasteur placed broth into container with a swan-necked flask (to keep living organisms from getting inside), and after a while of waiting, came back to see if anything had formed inside the container. At seeing nothing, it had been proven that spontaneous generation does not occur.
