Aileen can read 1.5 pages for every page her friend can read. Aileen's mom was very excited and she said to Aileen: "So, if your friend reads 20 pages, you can read 25 in the same time period!" Is Aileen's mom correct?

1.5 pages her friend can read so the formula would be 

1.5x and x being the number of pages her friend reads 

1.5 times 20 is not 25 it's 30 

therefore no Aileen's mom is not correct 
No because the formula is 1.5x and if you multiply 20 and 1.5 you get 30 not 25! Hope this helps!
