Indirect characterization includes the following from the list: 1) what other characters say about each other 2) statements by a character about what they hate 3) statement by a character about what kind of clothes they like. Indirect characterization is the process in which the personality of the characters in the story is revealed through character's speech, actions, behavior, etc. On the other hand, direct characterization is the process in which the personality of the characters in the story is revealed by the use of descriptive adjectives, epithets or phrases.
