Though the Renaissance started in Italy, it spread across Europe
after the end of the 100 Years War between England and France. This led to the
weakening of feudalism as travel was now possible due to the war’s end. Many people left for the city.to explore new
things and monarchs were able to stabilize their rule. French and German invasion of Italy in the
1400s and 1500 also contributed to the spread of the Renaissance movement as
they saw the ideas of the Renaissance and took them to their countries. Italian
scholars and merchants were invited to other European courts. The peace the followed that period also
facilitated the spread of the Renaissance and increase in trade also help in
the spreading of the Renaissance ideas.
