A carrying capacity of a region or ecosystem refers to the number of individuals of the population of species, an ecosystem can support on the basis of availability of resources like food, habitat and others. The resources of a small forest area have become scare, as the area has reached it's carrying capacity. As, those resources are utilized for the support of growing population, lack of resources cannot support population growth. Hence, area has reached to it's carrying capacity.
