Respuesta :

Arguably, far more dangerous. Whilst the initial stimulating effects of cocaine (it does this by blocking the reuptake of dopamine by the transporter proteins) giving the user a sense of self confidence and euphoria can result in rash and impulsive decisions leading to problems - the real issues with it lie in the tolerance that results.
your brain always wants to keep neurotransmitter levels stable, so when the dopamine levels skyrocket because their reuptake is blocked, the brain responds by reducing dopamine synthesis and the number of receptors, meaning without cocaine, your dopamine levels drop to below the norm.
Withdrawal symptoms are the complete opposite, leading to a dependency on the drug which causes far more damage than the effects of the drug itself.
