   Lincoln addressed the pitfalls of their journey, but emphasised that in the end it would be worth it, that it is for a greater good. Lincoln addressed real humble sacrifice. Green was emotional and relied on ethos, stressing certain points to get a reaction, and only thinly addressed the pitfalls. But, the both shared a similar goal and communicated them eloquently.

Green was known to used a lot of methods to persuade African-Americans to prepare for war.

  • Lincoln can be said to be humbled and had a softer tone in his speech when compared to Green. They both had the same goal when giving their speeches.

When comparing Lincoln to that of Green's.  He talks about the obstacles that arise in their journey, but ended it with the fact that it worth it, for a greater good.
