Giles Cory is expelled from court; held under contempt for refusing to identify a specific person in relation to a land dispute with Thomas Putnam. Danforth (the Deputy Governor) threatens him with contempt for the preceding. Giles goes further by claiming that the Court is not official, making things worse. This is from the Crucible.
