Respuesta :
The discs flex and squish allowing the vertebrae to move slightly... therefore giving the backbone flexibility
Answer:
The discs flex and squish
Explanation:
Backbone is the spinal column that is found in all vertebrate animals. It runs along the dorsal side and contains the central nerve cord which is reffered to as spinal cord.
The electrical signals is transferred from the brain to muscles of the skeleton and internal organs by the spinal nerve. And also transfer sensory messages such as pressure, warmth, and pain from the muscles, joints and internal organs our brain with the help of the spinal cord.
Disks flex is made up of a solid, different layers of cartilage fiber. and also a gel-like core. All these composition make the spine flexible so that we can lean and upper body can be rotated. The disk is also as shock absorber because it helps to transfer shock to the spine when we the body is in motion like during running or jumping exercise.
Anytime pressure is exerted on the spine, there is a discharge of fluid by the spinal disk, then it will become thinner i.e compressed. By the time the pressure is lifted, the fluid is absorbed and it becomes thicker.
