Since you are multiplying, not dividing, the fractions wouldn't need a common denominator... They would stay the same.
[tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{3}{4} [/tex]
First, you would cross simplify the equation... But, you don't have to do it now, you can do it at the end (I think this was is easiest).
[tex] \frac{1}{1} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]
Finally, you would answer the equation.
[tex] \frac{1}{1} [/tex] × [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex] = [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex]
Your answer would be [tex] \frac{1}{2} [/tex].
