After 1/2 hours its leaked 7/8 gallons in order to calculate an hour you'd have to double the time so 1/2*2=1 you have to do so your the gallons leaked because if you don't convert it to the amount leaked in 1 hour you'll have the amount of 1/2 hour so times it by 1 as well 7/8*2= 1&3/4>7/4
