This company majorly controlled the railroad network of Chicago and the Pacific Northwest part of the United States. This company was sued just one year after it started working and that was in the year 1902. This company was sued under the Sherman Antitrust act. This case was one of the earliest antitrust cases which was filed against a corporate instead of labor. This case also established President Roosevelt's stature as a 'Trust Buster'. The northern security company was formed by Hill in order to control the major railroad properties but it was speculated that something fishy is going on as the stock prices of this company sky-rocketed in a year and an inquiry was set up and from this inquiry, Corruption was found. This case went to the court and the Government won this case on 5-4 count and soon after that the company was dissolved and from that time the three railroad companies again started to work independently.
