This is of course somewhat of a subjective question, but in general most would agree that this colonial literature influences future generations in that it showed how writing could challenge and change authority.

I think that this influenced future generations by we have evolved into writing various things for political needs like ads for political campaigns. We have basically evolved into we have the right to do what we want in this country with that original writing idea. We basically can have our own say in our world and in books now.
