Because of the inequality symbol shown (>), the boundary line must be dashed (not solid).

The sum of 5x and y must therefore be greater than -10.  If, for example, x=0, then y>-10.  Focusing on x:  If y=0, then x must be greater than -10/5, or -2.

Graph the points (0,-10) and (-2,0) and draw a dashed line through them.  Shade the area above (to the right of) this dashed line.
*Hint: The type of boundary line could be determined by looking at the inequality sign. If it was > or < it would mean it's dashed and the other one would mean a solid line.

Looking at the picture I've provided above, the shading would take place to the right of the equation and the boundary line would be dashed.
