Explanation:

When we heat a liquid, the particles of the liquid in the bottom of the container will be the first to gain thermal energy. So, the particles in the bottom will become light weighted. The light weighted particles will tend to move upward and the heavy weighted liquid particles which are on the surface will tend to move to the bottom of the container. This is known as generation of convection currents. At some point of time due to generation of consistent convection currents they all will become equally heated. With constant heat supply, their movement will gain pace which in turn will cause the space between them to become wider. More gap between the particles will lead to the weak force of attraction between the particles due to which ultimately the liquid will get converted into gas.
