Most computer have a set amount of threads they can handle. the capacity of which is generally indicated in the processor, most generally in ghz. the computer itself might not be able to handle the required threads to run several applications at once. even if said computer is outfitted with the necessary power, an older operating system may be holding it back. the most likely solution is to update any software and/or OS to its latest version.
