When pressure is added to a gas the molecules bounce around really fast and push against the walls of its container. That's why when you squeeze an empty water bottle you can crush it all the way. The smaller the container the more the molecules hit the walls faster and that's what creates pressure. While moving around the molecules get hot as they speed up. Heat = Pressure.

Answer:

“The kinetic energy of gas particles is higher in hot food than in cold food.”

Explanation:

One of the properties responsible for this is “The kinetic energy of gas particles is higher in hot food than in cold food.”

Remembering that kinetic energy is related to the speed or speed in the movement of particles or molecules, you can start by saying that foods are made up of molecules. The higher the temperature of these foods, the faster the molecules move. If the molecules move fast enough, they detach from food and move in the air. Our noses absorb those molecules, and from that we smell that food. Hot food, as mentioned, has faster molecules, so they come off faster and there is more in the air. Then we can smell that food faster than the cold food molecules.

This process is called diffusion. Diffusion is a process in which particles are introduced into a medium that was initially absent from them, that is, the gradual mixing of the molecules of one gas with the molecules of another, by virtue of their kinetic properties. In this case the particles or molecules of the food are mixed with the particles present in the air, in order to reach our noses and you can feel their smell
