The counterculture is the values, tendencies and social forms opposed to those established in a society. The term was coined by the American historian Theodore Roszak in his 1968 book The Birth of a Counterculture.
Therefore we can say that the term counterculture refers to a group of people who have values, beliefs and customs contrary to what the society where they live.
