From the first table, we have;

Given that;

[tex]f(x)=b^x[/tex]

But, table II gives;

Given that;

[tex]g(x)=\log _b(x)[/tex]

Where b is same positive constant for both equations.

Recall from a law of logarithm that;

[tex]\text{If }\log _ba=c,\Leftrightarrow a=b^c[/tex]

Thus;

[tex]\begin{gathered} g(x)=\log _b(x) \\ x=b^{g(x)} \\ \end{gathered}[/tex][tex]f(x)=7,x=1.404[/tex]

Also;

from the second table;

[tex]x=10,g(x)=1.661[/tex]
