remember that when we are dividing expressions with exponents, we have to use the following rule:

[tex]\frac{a^n}{a^m}=a^{n-m}[/tex]

In this case,we have the following expression:

[tex]\frac{-9x^{-1}y^{-4}}{-15x^5y^{-3}}[/tex]

then, using the rule for the division of exponents, we have:

[tex]\frac{-9x^{-1}y^{-4}}{-15x^5y^{-3}}=\frac{-9}{-15}x^{-1-5}y^{-4-(-3)}=\frac{3}{5}x^{-6}y^{-4+3}=\frac{3}{5}x^{-6}y^{-1}[/tex]

therefore, the equivalent expression is 3/5 x^(-6) y^(-1)
