1. Long (elongated)- to be able to search deeper for available water
2. Thin cell wall- to easily pass through the water and ions needed by the plants.
Additional option:
Mitochondria- root hair has a lot of mitochondria in the cell that gives off energy from glucose (during respiration). This is to provide the energy needed for active transport.
