The slope can be calculated using two points as following :
Let we have the points :
[tex]\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1) \\ (x_2,y_2) \end{gathered}[/tex]The slope be :
[tex]\text{slope}=\frac{rise}{run}=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]For example if the points are ( 5 , 6 ) and ( 3 , 4 )
The slope will be :
[tex]\frac{4-6}{3-5}=\frac{-2}{-2}=1[/tex]
