1) We need to remind ourselves of the formula for the area of a circle. And, that the diameter is twice the radius.
[tex]\begin{gathered} D=2R \\ 36=2R \\ \frac{2R}{2}=\frac{36}{2} \\ R=18 \end{gathered}[/tex]2) Therefore, we can write out the following:
[tex]\begin{gathered} A=\pi\cdot r^2 \\ A=\pi\cdot(18)^2 \\ A=324\pi yd^{2} \end{gathered}[/tex]So this is the answer
