Here, we want to find the value of x
We start by opening the bracket on the left hand side
We have;
[tex]\begin{gathered} 3(2.4x\text{ + 4) = 4.1x + 7 + 3.1x} \\ \\ 7.2x\text{ + 12 = 4.1x + 3.1x + 7} \\ \\ 7.2x\text{ + 12 = 7.2x + 7} \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]Since the 7.2x on either side will cancel out, the equation has no solution
