Before we solve this, there are certain things we nned to know:
on a graph paper, x axis and y axis are two intersecting lines which are perpendicular to each other. Point of intersection is said to be the origin (0, 0).
The horizontal axis is alled the x-axis. And the vertical one is the y-axis. Cartesian points are written as xy pairs in parenthesis, that is, (x, y).
The graph a point, first locate its position and the x-axis, then find its location on the y-axis, and finally plot where these meet.
so, back to the scatter plot diagram that you asked.
we can see that temperature is plotted against Chirp per munite. the Temperature is on the the vertical axis (y-axis) while Cirp per minute is on the horizontal axis (x-axis)
we were asked to look for the y-value when x = 120
so what we do to get the y-value wich is the vertical, we trace from the x-axis to the line that cut across the graph and trace raph
