To find the y-intercept of the function, set x=0 and solve for y, as shown below

On the other hand, to find the x-intercept set y=0 and solve for x,
[tex]\begin{gathered} y=0 \\ \Rightarrow0=-\frac{1}{2}x+2 \\ \Rightarrow-2=-\frac{1}{2}x \\ \Rightarrow x=4 \\ \Rightarrow(4,0) \end{gathered}[/tex]
