where x is the score, μ is the mean and б is the standard deviation

Z- score for Math

Z = 84 - 74 / 6.1

=10/6.1

= 1.64

Z - score for Art

Z = 84 - 67 / 8.8

=17 / 8.8

=1.93

Base on the z- score, Riley did better in the Art - test
