when we have a number let say 10 is divided by a fraction 1/2
step 1
change the division sign to multiplication
step 2 change the numerator to the denominator and vise versa and the multiply through
[tex]\begin{gathered} 10\text{ / }\frac{1}{2}\text{ }=\text{ 10 }\times\text{ }\frac{2}{1} \\ 10\text{ }\times\text{ 2 }=\text{ 20} \\ \end{gathered}[/tex]whenever youre faced with a problem of dividing with fractions, just flip the fraction and the multiply

divide 1/3 by 1/2
