The beatitudes associated with the ten commandments in the Hebrew scriptures are a part of the sermon on the mount.
The word beatitudes refers to the blessedness of those people who have the qualities or experiences, such that could make them worthy of heaven. These were given as sermons by Jesus Christ, on the mount as mentioned in the Biblical New Testament.
There are said to be nine beatitudes of Mathew 5:3-12 as well four beatitudes of Luke 6:20-23. The latter four sermons are said to be the nucleus for the expanded nine sermons. In addition to these, there have been found other beatitudes as well.
