Neutrophils are the cells which are present during acute inflammation.
These cells are referred to as granulocytes and make up of majority of the white blood cells.
When inflammation occurs, the neutrophils go to the site and destroy the micro-organisms through ingestion or releasing enzymes so as to keep the body safe.
