ASAP PLEASE 20 POINTS EACH

mariko walks into her dark room to pull socks out of the dresser. If she has 5 pairs of white socks, 3 pair of blue socks, and 4 pairs of pink socks that are single ( not matched up ), how many socks does she need to pull out to make sure that she will ends up with 1 matching pair?

matching pair. To match up 1 pair means

thirteen.
