Use the law of sines to find the value of y. Round to the nearest tenth. Law of sines: StartFraction sine (uppercase A) Over a EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase B) Over b EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase C) Over c EndFraction 1. 4 units 1. 6 units 2. 5 units 2. 6 units.

Respuesta :

The law of sines to find the value of y , round to the nearest

For :-StartFraction sine (uppercase A) Over a EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase B) Over b EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase C) Over c EndFraction will be option (2) 1.6 units

i.e.   y = 1.586 ≅ 1.6 units

Given:

Use right angled triangle with angles A,B&C with sides are a,b&c where a = 2 and b = y

The Sine rule,

 [tex]\dfrac{a}{\rm \sin A}=\dfrac{b}{\rm \sin B}=\dfrac{c}{\rm \sin C}[/tex]

[tex]\rm \angle A = 75\textdegree\; and\; \angle B = 50\textdegree[/tex]

We will put the value of these angles in this formula i.e Law of Sine ,

       [tex]\rm 2 \times \sin 50\textdegree = y \sin 75\textdegree\\\\\rm 2 \times 0.766 = y \times0.9659\\\\ y = 1.586 \cong 1.6\;units[/tex]

Therefore, StartFraction sine (uppercase A) Over a EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase B) Over b EndFraction = StartFraction sine (uppercase C) Over c EndFraction will be option (2) 1.6 units

i.e.   y = 1.586 ≅ 1.6 units
