If there are total copies of 120, then;

x + y = 120

  • x = 120 -y ......... 2

Substitute equation 2 into 1

10.15x + 0.05y = 19.44

10.15(120-y) + 0.05y = 19.44

1218 - 10.15y + 0.05y = 19.44

- 10.15y + 0.05y = -1,198.56

-10.1y = -1,198.56

y = 118.6

Since x = 120 - y

x = 120 - 119

x = 1

Hence 1 copy of machine-fed copies and 119 hand-fed copies was made.
