sin(x) = 1/2 and the angles must be between 0 and 180.
We can take the arcsin(1/2) and we get 30 degrees, but that is only half of the answer.
There are two angles for which the y value on the unit circle outputs 1/2.
To find this other value which is in the second quadrant: 180 - 30 = 150.
The other angle is 150 and can be checked by solving sin(150) which outputs 1/2 so we know have the correct answer.
Smaller = 30 Larger = 150.
P.S make sure your calculator is in degree mode.
