The author's discussion of the King gives us a knowledge of how King Leopold made the Europeans aware of the Fortune in Africa.

King Leopold was the first European King to know of the wealth that lay in the Congo basin part of Africa. As the first, he gave instructions that he wanted the Congo under his ruling.

Because of him, Africa got invaded by the rest of the European powers who were searching for riches in the continent.
