Whether you hold them for yourself or others, unrealistic standards can create a lot of disappointment in your life. It can lead to a mentality of “why should I even try, it won’t be done the right way.”
While the idea of perfectionism is glorified in society, especially in women, it can do more harm than good. It can lead to Imposters Syndrome, feeling like you’re not good enough, negative self talk, and anxiety.
Fear and unwilling to change and get out of your comfort zone can prevent you from getting to where you desire
