3/5p(1) + 3/5p*5/3 = 3 1/2
3/5p + p = 3 1/2
3/5p + 5/5*p = 3 1/2
8/5p = 3 1/2
now multiply both sides by 5/8 (to get p by itself) which gives:
p = 5/8 * 3 1/2 = 5/8 * 7/2 = 35/16
