The immigrants have a hard life here, most of them went on a big boat with 35 million immigrants traveled in a year. They were poor and didn't know a lot of English when they came to the us. It took 10 days to get to the us on boats. They come here to get a better life for their families. One of the reasons would be finding better jobs to support their family. It's easier to find a job out here plus it pays more from where they came from. They also like it out here in the us better because the living conditions are nicer. It may be more expensive to live here but it's more safe than where they are from away from the wars. Schools are also better for their children. Where they were from education wasn't free, that's why they like it here because it is. Kids may pick on the immigrant children for not speaking English or not eating the same food as them, so they have it pretty hard at school.
