Rectangle Perimeter = 2(2x+1) + 2(x+2)

 

Square Perimeter = Rectangle Perimeter

4(4x-1) = 2(2x+1) + 2(x+2)  

16x - 4 = 4x + 2 + 2x + 4

16x - 4 = 6x + 6

-6x  +4  -6x  +4

10x = 10

x = 1
