Narrative poetry is all poetry that's supposed to tell a story. Such poems are ballads or epic poems, or even love poems that tell the story of someones love. Any type of lycial poetry such as sonnets, or elegies, or odes, or hymns, or poems created to teach someone something like the ABC song, they are not narrative so your answer should be something along those lines.
