For part b: Quran is the holy book of Muslims that is a complete code of life. It is Allah's book telling us the purpose and meaning of our existence. Hadith is valued in Islam because it teaches us the way of achieving the purpose and meaning told in Quran. For Example: Allah said in Quran to offer five times a day but hadith taught is how? when? and how many rakats be offered?
