It is important to be logical so that you do not end with an impossible conclusion/solution/answer, but you must be creative so that you can think of different ways to try things to get the result you need/ a new result.

A scientist needs to both creative and logical. Logic is what science is, it is proving something right or wrong according to strict principals of validity. These strict principals are what be called laws of science. A creative scientist and come up with new and unique ideas of the worldly problems. He can create a solution to a problem which is logically correct.  This why i think a a scientist needs to logical as well as creative.
