Solving
an equation means finding a value of a variable that make the equation true.
This value is called the solution of the equation. A mathematical equation is
just like a balanced equation. Both sides of the equation should be equal at
all times. Whatever we do to one side, has to be done on the opposite side.
[tex]B-3+3b=28[/tex]
[tex]
4b-3=28
[/tex]
[tex]4b=28+3
[/tex] [tex] Add \ 3 \ to \ both \ sides[/tex]
[tex]4b=31[/tex]
[tex] \dfrac{4b}{4} / \dfrac{31}{4} [/tex] [tex]Divide \ both \ sides \ by \ 4[/tex]
[tex]b= \dfrac{31}{4} [/tex]
