President Roosevelt came into power in 1901, he became president at 42 and created various progressive reforms called square deal with the aim to help the common people like laborer solve their issues with the industry leaders and the tackle the problem of incessant strike face by the industries, other deals in the square deals includes Elkins Act, The Sherman Antitrust Act, Meat Inspection Act,Interstate Commerce Act, Drug Act etc.

President Taft actively supported the sixteenth and seventeenth Amendments. He was the president who succeed Roosevelt administrative, he however did not follow the previous agenda of Roosevelt , he was less inclined than progressive Republicans

President Wilson was the one who established the the federal reserve System, He was an advocate of the progressive era, he started a new tax system in an effort to curb the power of big business, introduced income tax, fights for rights of the labor and against legislation that were not protecting the public
