1)In a trapezoid with a height of 5 meters, one of the bases is three times the lenght of the other base. solve for the lenghts of the two bases if A=70m^2.

2)In a trapezoid with a height of 10 feet, one base is 4 feet longer than the other base. solve for the lenghts of the two bases if A=120ft^2​

1) First, you can find lenght of bases.

    70 / 2 = 35

  So you can set x for shorter base and 3x for longer base.

    x + 3x = 35

          4x = 35

            x = 8.75

          3x = 26.25

2) You can solve same as 1.

  120 / 10 = 12    

   set x and x+4

 x + (x + 4) = 12

     2x + 4  = 12

               2x = 8

                 x = 4

         (x + 4) = 8
