To solve this system of equations, add the two equations.
2x+3y=40

-2x+2y=20

5y=60
y=12

Plug y back into any equation,
2x+3(12)=40
2x+36=40
2x=4
x=2

Solution: (2, 4)

B. x= 2 y=12
