help me no one knows how to do this and its due tomrrow please help asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! We can see that each option includes a y value and an x value, for example, y = 4x + 1. We can also see that there is a table with two columns, both labeled x and y. This is no coincidence. To solve these problems, simply substitute the x and y values for each equation.
For example, number one, option B would be like: [tex]y = 3x+2 --> 5 = 3(1) + 2[/tex] which simplifies into [tex]5 = 3+2[/tex]. This is true, so A is your answer. Now that we know this method, let's test it out on the other problems.
2.) [tex]y=-3x-1-->8 = -3(-3) -1-->8=9-1[/tex]
The answer is c.
3.) [tex]y = x - 2--> -5=(-3)-2-->-5=-3-2[tex]
The answer is A.
4.) [tex]y=-5x-->50=-5(-10)-->50=50[/tex]
The answer is D.
Note: You might notice that sometimes more than one equation works for the first set of points. If this is so, then just try another ordered pair. I only did the first ones because they were smaller and easier to explain. Hope this helped and good luck! :D
