Referring to the average length of time modern justices sit on the Supreme Court, one law professor stated that, "Serving 25 years or more is too long in a democracy." What do you think he meant by that?
He meant that based on the age difference, judges can separate themselves from the surrounding culture serving too long, and to democracy is important to have age and term limits. Modern justices change judges faster than Supreme court.
