Examine all of the different kinds of information that Lewis and Clark brought back with them. Explain how this information created an important body of knowledge for its time, and what it means to us now.

Lewis and Clark recorded information about, plants, animals, geography, took notes, drew sketches and sent specimens.  They also had the guidance of Sacagawea a Shoshone woman and she interpreted the language for Lewis and Clark.


All this information allowed the US to continue to develop west, to the pacific Ocean where we discovered routes for commerce.
